In 2018, Casey Affleck wrote and directed Light of My Life, which follows a father and daughter living on the outskirts of a society destabilized by a deadly pandemic.
Affleck starred in Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester by the Sea, which earned him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA and over 40 regional critics’ awards, amongst other accolades, for Best Actor.
Casey Affleck began his career in Gus Van Sant’s To Die For co-starring with Nicole Kidman.
Academy Award-winning actor, CASEY AFFLECK, is an accomplished and striking performer who has established himself as a respected actor, writer, director, and principal of Sea Change Media. Under the banner, which has a first look deal with Amazon Studios, Casey Affleck looks to develop new works from emerging filmmakers of diverse backgrounds, telling stories that aim to entertain audiences, inspire conversations and shift perceptions.
Affleck later re-teamed with Gus Van Sant in Good Will Hunting, and also in Gerry, which Casey Affleck also co-wrote.
After landing the breakout role in Andrew Dominik’s The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which garnered him Oscar, Golden Globe, and SAG Award nominations, Casey Affleck appeared in Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone.
Additional credits include, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar; Out of the Furnace, opposite Christian Bale; Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy; Triple 9, opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kate Winslet; Disney's The Finest Hours; and David Lowery’s A Ghost Story and Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, both opposite Rooney Mara, and The Old Man and the Gun, opposite Robert Redford and Sissy Spacek. On the stage, Casey Affleck appeared in the West End debut of Kenneth Lonergan’s “This Is Our Youth.”
