Grey Arabian Stallion

One Of A Kind

Peter Stone original "Traditional" sized (approximately 12 inches) Arabian Stallion mold. Resculpted and painted to be an amazing fleabitten grey stallion.

Top and bottom lip sculpted for more definition to the mouth. Head and neck straightened out and arched outward stretching. Hind leg pulled out and stretched in a show stance. Entire mane removed and resculpted in locks alterating either side of the neck. New forelock added. Entirely new tail sculpted. Arched high at the base and flowing in multiple full layers. Enhanced detailed sculpted stallion parts and anal area in detail. All four hooves carved out and antiqued. Ears carved out.

Done in acrylics and pastels. Base coat in white with grey antiquing and thousands of tiny little fleabite markings. In multiple layers for depth. Slight blood marks on the shoulder and along the neck and jawline. Mixed in black and sienna coloring for chestnut tones within the small patches and blood marks. Chestnut and black mane and tail. Very dark greys, umber, gold ocre, sienna, and black antiqued throughout the tail and mane.

Eyes in multiple shades of browns and highlighted with celera in dark antiqued flesh and reddish hues. Slight white underneith but mostly very dark. Flesh antiqued inside of nose. Muzzle in black and flesh pink. Flesh pink along the underside of the bottom lip and chin. Grey shading on the legs with white sock and partial pastern and coronet markings. White blaze and snip on the face. Dark chestnuts. Dark stallion parts shaded heavily in black and flesh tones with flea bite markings heavily. Natural shaded and striped hooves with slight streaking for depth. Carved hoof bottoms antiqued as well.

Real metal horse shoes antiqued in black for definition. Silver nail marks along hooves also antiqued slightly in black to show wear.

(Gloss added to the muzzle and sides of nose up along the face and around eyes to mimic oiled areas for arabian halter showing.)

Painted in acrylics and sealed in a satin sealer. Inside and outside of nose, mouth, and eyes glossed. Artist signature and date under hind leg.

First and last photos shot with flash at night. The rest are done outside with the flash in evening light.
