"Draconia"

Peter Stone original "Traditional" sized (approximately 12 inches) Arabian Stallion mold. Resculpted and painted to be a Chestnut Sorrel Arabian mare.

Commission model

Top and bottom lip and chin completely resculpted for more definition to the mouth. Nose reduced in size slightly for a more feminine look. Head and neck turned. Ears carved and slightly enlarged to resemble a mare. Entire mane and original forelock removed and resculpted in locks alterating either side of the neck. New forelock added. New lengthened tail extending down to the pastern. Enhanced detailed sculpted area anal and full mare anatomy. Back leg turned out. All four hooves carved out and antiqued.

Painted in pastels and acrylics. Done in rich brown reddish chestnut in multiple layers and sprayed in between each layer. Darker shading. Dark muzzle, shading on the eyes. White socks on left hind. White blaze. Light antiqued chestnuts. Darkened mare mammories. Black hooves. Mane, forelocks, and tail in light flaxon with antiquing and shading.

Eyes done in multiple shades of brown with highlights and low tones. Reddish brown fleshy sclera with white haze. White highlights.

Painted in acrylics and sealed in a Matt sealer. Inside and outside of nose, mouth, hooves, and eyes glossed. Artist signature and date under hind leg.
