Custom Resculpted and Painted Resin Andalusian Stallion.

"Leonardo"

"Traditional" sized (approximately 14 inches) Red Shed brand Resin Cowboy w/ Horse mold drastically resculpted and painted to be a dappled grey Andalusian Stallion.

Original sculpture had a molded cowboy and full western tack molded to it as part of the sculpture and that was completely removed. Entire back filled in with epoxie sculpt adding a lot of weight to this piece. Legs reinforced inside with epoxie. Entire back sculpted along with both sides of the barrel. Original sculpted mane, forelocks, and tail all removed. New sweeping long mane draped over the sides of the neck sculpted. New tail sculpted. Stallion parts resculpted. Ears carved out. Nostrils carved. The integrity of the original Red Shed sculpture was left intact to preserve the original resin design of the horse itself with conformation flaws and all.

Painted in pastels and acrylics. Base color in white. Layered in greys, and black. Dappled heavily. Sprayed in between each layer. Right front partial coronet. White hind sock. Black nose with pink mottling. Darkened genitalia. Natural light hoof with beige shading and streaking on socked legs. Darkened black then antiqued and faintly streaked remaining hooves. Mane, forelocks, and tail in black.

Eyes done in multiple shades of brown with highlights and low tones. Reddish brown fleshy sclera with white haze. White highlights.

Horse permanently sculpted to base whihc is painted then covered in sand.

Painted in acrylics and sealed in a matt sealer. Inside of nose, mouth, inside the male sheath, and eyes glossed. Artist signature and date under hind leg.
