"Les Like The West"

Marx Johnny West original "Traditional" sized (approximately 14 inches) Thunderbolt Marx horse mold. Resculpted and repainted to be a deep Bay Tobiano Paint Thoroughbred Cross Stallion.

Original neck, mane, forelocks, and tail removed. New neck sculpted with new mane and new forelocks. Head straightened down slightly. Entire body lengthened to reduce the original sculpture's overly short back. Ears carved. Hooves carved out and resculpted. Original flat hoof heels sculpted on both factory flawed hooves. Marx's brand removed from the flank. Nostrils carved. Original wide open mouth sculpted closed. New longer tail sculpted. New stallion full parts sculpted in high detail.

Done in acrylics and pastels. Base color in deep beige and layered darker to a deep walnut bay. White paint markings with mapping. Black and white mane. Black tail with white frosting high at the base. Left eye done in multiple shades of browns. Elongated pupil and highlights. Right eye in blue with brown partial iris coloration. Light natural shaded hooves faintly streaked with soft black. Three high stocking markings and one partial sock. Large white face blaze. Dark shaded stallion parts.

Wears real metal horseshoes on all four hooves with painted silver nailmark accents on the hoofwalls.

Painted in acrylics and sealed in a matt sealer. Inside and outside of nose, mouth, hooves, sweating areas, and eyes glossed. Artist signature and date under hind leg.
