Matt O' Neill as
This
custom repainted Tonner doll has been remade over
completely to become the beloved Willy Wonka.
You've
all read Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Probably seen Gene Wilder's film of the same
name. And next July I'm sure everyone will all go
see Johnny Depp's version of the Tim Burton
remake entitled Charlie and The Chocolate
Factory. Here's Robert Tonner's Matt O'Neill as
Willy Wonka. I based him more on the book version
and less like the Gene Wilder movie version. I
believe the new remake is also based on the book
version rather than Wilder's movie version as
well.
17
and a half inches tall.
Fully
posable at the knees, neck, ankles, wrists,
elbows, shoulders, chest, waist, hips. Can be
posed in just about any position.
Hair
re-rooted by hand in dark brown with sparsely
rooted lighter wine-brown highlights. Then cut to
a pageboy cut. Hair sewn in. Not rooted just
under the vinyl with a skewer/rooting tool. Sewn
in for durability and will not come out even
under heavy combing.
Painted
in acrylics and sealed in satin spray sealer.
Eyes glossed several times to appear wet.
Face
done in both acrylics as well as pastels. Done in
several layers to show depth. Foundation, blush,
contouring, and lining. Lashes on bottom eye done
very faint. Liner and shadowing. Tiny eye corner
accents as well as highlighted. Soft
Violet/Purple eyes like Johnny Depp wore in the
film. Lips done in layeres and shades used to
create the same pink as Johnny's. Hands re-done
to appear to wear the same form-fitted purple
gloves Johnny wears in his new version of Willy
Wonka. Fingernails filled in with air hardening
clay compound to appear more like gloves and less
like detailed fingers but with some accent left
to show the gloves are very thin and form
fitting. Sorry the images don't capture the color
purple I used. The color is in a pearlized
metalic purple with a dark undercoat to show
through. I assure you, the color is very
brilliant purple.
Multi-colored
printed velvet shirt, black velveteen slacks,
Black velveteen vest, white knee-high socks,
leather shoes, and Burgandy/wine velvet coat.
Shirt is fastened with snaps and trimmed in black
buttons on the outside Collar turned down, cuffs
hemmed. Black Velveteen slacks have two-snap
enclosuer. Black Velveteen vest with snap
enclosuers sewn on by hand as well. Burgandy
wine/maroon colored waistcoat done in velvet.
Shoes are genuine leather with red glittering 'W'
accents and will slip on or off easily. White
spandex type knee-high socks. All clothing can be
removed though it is not advisable as this doll
is a collectable piece and not a toy to be played
with. Watch chain is sewn to the vest in two
places but is tucked into the pants rather than
sewn on so as clothing can be removed if needed.
Handmade metal 'W' Wonka insignia glued to his
collar.
Comes
with a golden chain for a pocket watch, black
velveteen top hat trimmed in matching burgundy
wine colored satin band as well as his candy
filled walking cane. Cane shaft is clear acrylic
with a metal tip painted in black enamel. End
ball is in air hardening clay compound and
handpainted. Cane is filled with REAL candy
sprinkles. Just like Willy Wonka's. End ball
trimmed in black and white spiral with silver and
black ring accents under the ball. Carved and
painted by hand then finally coated several times
in clear gloss sealant.
