Matt O' Neill as Mort Rainey. This custom repainted Tonner doll has been remade over completely to become Secret Window's Mort Rainey. 17 and a half inches tall. Fully posable at the knees, neck, ankles, wrists, elbows, shoulders, chest, waist, hips. Can be posed in just about any position. Hair re-rooted by hand in sandy colored blonde. Painted in acrylics and sealed in satin spray sealer. Eyes glossed several times to appear wet. (eyes are very detailed but my camera doesn't capture it well--none of the pictures do this doll justice) The eyes appear in the photos to be alittle shaky in the details but it isn't that way in person. I have a hard time with this digital camera getting those good close-ups of the eyes on my dolls and models. Grey long-sleeved shirt, beige/tan slacks, and blue striped plaid flanel bathrobe. Shirt has a raw wide necked collar and non hemmed bottom to look more like Mort's. Sleeves made a little longer than they should to match Mort's in the movie. Fastened in the back with snaps. Beige slacks also fasten with snaps that have been hand-sewn on. Flanel robe belt sewn as well. Robe has two belt loops sewn in on each side with the matching belt threaded through so Mort's robe can be tied closed. Hand-tattered and frayed hole on the back of the right shoulder of the robe to look exactly like Mort's in the movie. All clothing can be removed though it is not advisable as this doll is a collectable piece and not a toy to be played with. Bedroom slippers are the original Matt O'Neill slippers. Comes with a black painted "shooter" hat made of pressed felt material along with a tiny wrinkled wad of papers (manuscript), and his trademark Mort Rainey black glasses. Glasses are hand-made wire frames painted in gloss black enamel. Because of the fragility of the wire and the fact the enamel may scrape off, I couldn't put tiny lenses in the glasses, but I think they look real enough. Perhaps with a skilled hand..it can be done.
